A man trying to save his family…

Lord Peter Batton the Viscount Bayning has to find his kidnapped cousin before it’s too late. After a horrible accident and his discharge from the military, his family and peers want very little to do with him. That is until his cousin went missing. Now he must rely on a little woman from the slums he hates.

A woman who wants to her past and change her future…

Anna does not approve of the way Peter looks down his nose at others, but she knows she must help find the missing girl to save her from a terrible fate. On his own, none of the rough people would speak to Peter. Fearing for Cecily, Anna agrees to help. Together they must face the seedy works of an evil industry.

Meanwhile, every move they make is being watched by a rouge group of men. Any mention of the group publicly is thought of as a ghost story. Little do Peter and Anna know, the band is very real, and their only help may come from the secret workings of The London Harriers.

The Story Continues

A lady struggling to keep her life together…

Lady Agatha Montgomery has spent her life in strict training to one day marry well. When her father’s money ran out, and her brother became ill, she did not falter. Now as her brother continues to grow frailer and the family’s financial worries increase, she knows the only solution is marriage to a wealthy man. Yet that opportunity is not coming as soon as she had hoped. When she feebly attempts to steal back a pocket watch that belonged to her father, she runs into a problem: she is caught by James.

A man is driven by revenge…

Captain James Fane nearly died in an explosion that was no accident. He has returned to London to find the man who tried to kill him. Except, that man is not done yet. Thanks to the help of the secret group The London Harriers, James knows the guilty party is Lord William Montgomery, Agatha’s ill brother.

After catching Agatha’s attempted theft, James agrees not to tell her brother in exchange for introductions to society, and to get closer to his attempted killer. Unable to stand each other, the two are forced to spend time together.

A woman trying to be strong…
Lady Eve Sexton has always been an independent woman. After the loss of her parents, she began managing her own estate and finances. Now she owns a townhome that she runs herself. She may not be the most popular of society women, but she would rather shoot pistols and donate to the needy women at the Stone Street Inn than go to fancy parties. When a young girl is attacked at the inn, Eve brings her into her home so she can be safe. But now, a threat is being held over her head. Another woman from the inn has been kidnapped, and unless Eve can name one of the infamous London Harriers, that woman will be destroyed. The problem, Eve has no idea who they are, or if she would want to betray them to evil hands. Unfortunately, they are much closer than they seem.

A man with two identities…
Wade Harrington is running himself raw not only as an honorable doctor for the Stone Street Inn but secretly as a member of the London Harriers. By day he cares for sick children, and by night he is hiding in the shadows and fighting evil foes. After Lady Sexton takes in a woman from the inn, he is posted as a secret guard for her home. In all of his time with Lady Sexton, she insists they are friends. Wade refuses to share this title because he cannot afford to grow close to someone, and because he would like to be much more. And love is something he does not have time for. But feelings are not easy to ignore when he is posted by her window every night.
